Angove Family Crest McLaren Vale Shiraz

Produced by Angove in the McLaren Vale, South Australia. They were formed by a Doctor (Dr William Angove) who moved to Australia from Cornwall in the UK in the 1880s. He believed that good wine was essential for fine health and a sound mind. So there you go, doctor’s orders!

This is what they call their ‘Family Crest’ range so there’s a bit of family pride is on the line whenever they bottle something under this label.

Using fruit from a couple of their McLaren Vale vineyards (Blewitt Springs and Seaview to the north, Sellicks Hill and Willunga to the south) and aged 12-14 months in oak. This latest 2021 release has an impressive swag of gongs…
