Bone. Dry. Riesling. It is what it says. And it IS bloody delicious.
Grower’s Mark is a label owned by the Farmers Market Wine Company, a co-operative of NZ grape growers formed in 2009 in the face of growing competition of big multi-nationals buying up land and locking in contracts, squeezing the guy at the bottom (usually the grape grower). Buying wines like Grower’s Mark ensures a fair deal for the fruits (literally) of their labour.
Produced using fruit from a vineyard called the Gale Force Vineyard. It’s called that because, well, it gets pretty windy there in the exposed area of Dashwood in the Awatere Valley. Loads of fresh, citrus fruit flavours with a dry finish. A bone dry finish.
