It takes two to tango, it takes two hundred to Zinio.
In 1986 Bodegas Zinio was born in the famous Rioja Alta region of Spain and established by a cooperative of two hundred viticulturists.
Their wine “Terroir de Zinio 200 Rioja” is a nod to those two hundred winegrowers spread across over 450 hectares of land in Rioja Alta, all driving in the same direction to make bloody good Rioja red and making sure everyone, from the grape grower to the wine drinker, gets a fair deal.
The storks on the label are the same birds you’ll find nesting church of Uruñuela (the local village of Bodegas Zinio) and also where the village locals get their nickname – Storkies!
A classic Rioja red right here! 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano this is a typical fruit driven style Rioja – a cherry red colour with black fruit flavours like raspberry and blackberry and a touch of vanilla and spice.
An ideal wine to pair with roasted and grilled meats and veggies or go Rioja style and pair with “Patatas a la Riojana” aka Riojan potatoes – made with bell peppers, chorizo sausage and potatoes!
