We think of these guys like Pinot rockstars. It’s what happens when you gain massive international rep by bagging a staggering six trophies in one vintage (the 2011), then grab another Trophy & Gold at the same wine show (International Wine Challenge, 2013 vintage) and then go and get snapped being guzzled on a hit TV show in the US (Big Bang Theory).
That well and truly propelled these guys into the international limelight and they’ve never looked back. For many years Sean (the winemaker, aka Mr Brennan) sold their fruit to Peregrine. Given how kick arse Peregrine’s Pinots are that’s a real testament to these guys.
They often hold back their top wines for two or three years, releasing them when they’re drinking at their best. It’s the sort of thing you can do when you’re small and family owned without the corporate accountant breathing down your neck.
Top notch Central Otago Pinot like this deserves the best in food matching – try duck, lamb, venison or other game meat dishes.
Damn, you're looking young for your age!
