One of our Favorites

One of the planet’s most loved (and guzzled!) Champagne brands in the world with a staggering 8 million bottles poured every year! Mumm was formed by three German brothers who crossed the border from Germany to France in 1827 and took their family sparkling wine business (known as P.A Mumm aka Peter Arnold Mumm) to the region of Champagne.

“Nec Plus Ultra – Only The Best”

The Mumm name became known as G.H. Mumm in the 1850s when Georges Hermann Mumm, one of the founder’s sons, took control of the business and took it to the next level. His motto was “Nec Plus Ultra – Only The Best”.

Introducing Mumm Grand Cordon

By 1876 every bottle of Mumm Cuvée Brut was decorated with a red silk ribbon – famously known as Mumm Cordon Rouge. By 2016 Mumm continued its legacy of innovation when they launched the striking new Mumm Grand Cordon bottle. In collaboration with an award winning designer they created a unique new bottle design with the G.H. Mumm signature and eagle emblem printed in gold directly on the glass.

But the most eye catching thing is the famous Mumm red ribbon has been indented into the bottle.

And if you’re wondering how to pronounce this world famous Champagne name – the French would say “Moom”.

Mumm meets Marlborough - it's magic in a flute!
