Akarua Pinot Rose

Akarua, run by the Skeggs family, are the largest privately owned single estate vineyard in Central Otago. Sir Clifford Skeggs chucked vines into the ground here in 1996. They knocked out their first vinage in 1999 and by 2002 they claimed a kahuna of an accolade – The Champion Wine of Show at the Air NZ Wine Awards!

Wind the clock forward a decade, chuck a few more Gold medals and Trophies in the awards cabinet and it’s no wonder these guys have gained such a big following after such continued success.

Their Pinot Rosé has to be one of the most sought after Rosés on the market! It sells out every year and yet again the winery has had its stocks pillaged (it’s sold out again!). So rich and juicy, it’s the ultimate strawberries and cream style that so many Rosé lovers die for. Grab it while you can.
