Here’s a fresh, mouth watering and slightly lower strength French Rosé that’s got summer sippin’ written all over it!
From the Loire Valley and made from the Grolleau Noir and Gamay grapes well known in the region. It’s imported into NZ by Master of Wine Steve Bennett and got the thumbs up from another local Master of Wine Bob Campbell.
Scoring it 91/100 Bob said “A blend of 70% grolleau and 30% gamay. An initial hint of sweetness is nicely balanced by fresh, fruity acidity that gives a mouth-watering finish. Fragrant, charming wine that offers value at this price ($25)”
And at just 10% alcohol it’s a perfect wine to bust out as a spring or summer lunch tipple!
