Babich’s Hawke’s Bay Chardy 2015 left the judges seriously impressed in taking out the top award in Cuisine’s annual Chardy tasting, topping a list of the usual suspects of heavy hitting NZ Chardonnay producers that made the top ten like Villa Maria, Saint Clair, Vidal Estate, Giesen…the list goes on!

This is a pure expression of Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay without the use of oak. A clean, fresh style white with a soft and creamy texture.

The Cuisine judges called it "an impressive, international style" and reminded them of a style similar to a white Burgundy from France. "Slender, sophisticated, full of vitality… the star of the show has a distinctive personality... a wine with intensity, freshness and length."
