When super talented winemaker Dave Clouston isn’t busting a gut crafted incredibly awesome wine (you might also know him from his Two Rivers of Marlborough wine labels) you might find him hanging out at his favourite pad – The Black Cottage. It’s where Dave kicks back and relaxes with friends and whanau, no doubt over a glass (or bottle, we know how things roll) or two of Black Cottage Central Otago Pinot Noir.
Marlborough is Dave’s main hangout spot but for his Pinot he sources grapes from a little further down the line and one of NZ’s favourite Pinot hotspots, Central Otago.
This is your classic succulent Central Pinot with dark, savoury fruit and spicy flavours.
Dave reckons it’s the perfect match with skiing, we reckon flying down the slopes with a glass of Pinot in your hand is asking for trouble! Wait until you’re back in the lodge and open this one with a nice piece of roast duck or lamb. Mmm!
