Brancott Estate Flight is Brancott’s take on the lighter alcohol wines that are taking a huge surge globally.
If you think drinking this low alcohol Gris is a trade off in the flavour department, think again! No short cuts taken here, they’ve simply picked and harvested their Pinot Gris grapes earlier than they would normally so it’s naturally lower in alcohol at just 9%. It reminded us a bit of an Italian “Pinot Grigio” style – a crisper, drier style than your usual NZ Gris.
Being lighter in the booze it’s naturally a good option as a lunchtime wine, try it with white meats and fish. Our tip is pan fried salmon with fresh seasonal veggies, yum!
