Trophy and Double Gold medal winning Pinot Gris at this price?! Outrageous! The Trophy winner for Champion Pinot Gris at the New World Wine Awards 2023 – the judges said “the Champion Pinot Gris, the Brancott Estate East Coast Pinot Gris 2023, is a clear winner – smooth, juicy and fresh.” It also took at Gold at the NZ International Wine Show – what an effort!
Brancott Estate (you might remember them as Montana wines back in the 80s or 90s) happily brag that they were the first ones to plant Sauvignon Blanc vines in Marlborough back in 1975. So, they say, they’ve learnt a trick or two in their time since then.
The first and these days one of the biggest. But big or not, Brancott are still regulars in the ‘World’s Most Admired Wine Brands’ list of Drinks International magazine and regularly pump out wines offering great value, no matter which label or price point.
For a supposedly entry level, budget priced Pinot Gris this is packing plenty of bang for your buck. Using fruit from Marlborough and other east coast regions this is a juicy, off-dry style Pinot Gris with loads of lush, stone fruit flavours. It’s an absolute crowd pleasing Pinot Gris!
