The finest red that Brown Brothers produce. And it needs to be. It’s named after Patricia Brown, a legendary woman in this world famous winemaking family.

She was a devoted wife of John Charles Brown and loving mother to four boys. She juggled running a household, a business and travelling to promote the Brown Brothers name. There was no electricity in those days – she cooked on a wood stove, washed in a wood-fired copper and wrung clothes by hand!

This is a special wine in the hearts of everyone in the Brown family, which is why it has to pass the strictest of criteria to make it behind the Patricia label and only released in the most exceptional of vintages.

With a score of 95/100 by James Halliday, it’s fair to say Patricia would’ve approved of this! James goes on to say “From a top vintage, Patricia Shiraz in all of its ripe, sweet, concentrated fruit intensity. A seamless beauty, drinking beautifully now, but with a long road still ahead of it. Lifted, heady aromas (a touch of whole bunch, maybe?) with blue, black and red fruits, violets, wood smoke and gentle spice. Crushed velvet on the tongue, with well-judged oak, tight, well-tuned tannins and lashings of generous fruit. Immerse yourself.”

Drink now to 2030. A very special lady, a very special wine.
