By.Ott is owned by luxury French Champagne outfit Louis Roederer and they’ve certainly nailed producing a world class Rosé with serious wow factor.
Produced from vineyards in the Cotes de Provence region in the south of France. It’s one of the best places in the world for this style of wine and this classy example is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah grapes.
The By.Ott crew waffle on about it being “Pale and pretty in crystal-clear pink with orange undertones. The nose is delicate and fruity with notes of white peach and apricot mixed with passion fruit and mango.” – we just think if you want to slap a Rosé on the table that will get everyone talking, this is it.
Typical of the Provence style, this is a dry style Rosé with light fruity, citrus flavours, best served chilled at about 10 or 12 degrees and if you’re looking for the ideal food pairing we reckon you can’t go wrong with salads, grilled fish and fresh, seasonal vegetables.
