Hallelujah it sure is! Chapel Hill is located on the site of a 150 year old iconic chapel in the McLaren Vale. Best known for their Shiraz we stumbled across this stunning value GSM (Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre) blend from the 2022 vintage.

This is the blend that’s best known from the likes of Cotes du Rhone in France – this is a seriously good example of the style from another part of the world!

Also scoring 90/100 plus a Top Value Award with The Real Review who said “Deep-ish red with a tint of purple and aromas that recall smoked meats and earthy/coal-dusty, dark berries beneath it all. Fairly reserved and not that clearly defined. Hints of black peppercorn. It’s full bodied and firm, with a solid mouth-feel and firm finish that lingers on well. This would reward some cellaring. Great value: is this really the price?”

This is a style that’ll pair really well with barbecued and grilled red meats and stews.
