Charles de Cazanove was a 17th century dude from a family of glass makers who started this Champagne house (now one of the oldest Champagne houses in France) after visiting Venice (and changing Casanova to the more French Cazanove). Not quite as glamorous as the the love-making, heart-breaking Casanova from Venice – although this one will win the hearts of plenty of Champagne lovers.
