Charles de Cazanove was a 17th century dude from a family of glass makers who started this Champagne house after visiting Venice (and changing Casanova to the more French Cazanove). Not quite as glamorous as the the love-making, heart-breaking Casanova from Venice – but this absolutely stunning, multi award winning, vintage Champagne in a gold bottle and bespoke gift box is sure to win the hearts of Champagne lovers and those who love the finer things in life!

Make no mistake – the Stradivarius by Cazanove is pure Champagne luxury and prestige that if one of the big global Champagne houses had their name on you’d be paying double at least!

From a great 2009 vintage in Champagne and made from 53% Piunot Meunier and 47% Chardonnay with all fruit sourced from Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. The wine was aged 11 years on yeast lees for extra richness and complexity.

Unaspiringly the Stradivarius Gold has plenty of Gold to back it up…

In his 95/100 review Master of Wine Bob Campbell said this upon popping the cork – “I chilled the wine to a couple of clicks above fridge temperature and carefully withdrew the cork. The wine tasted good … in fact, very good. I gave it a 95-point rating.”

Bob went on to say “Rich, honeyed and obviously mature champagne with plenty of nutty, yeast autolysis character giving baguette and brioche notes. /absolutely delicious to taste with an appealingly creamy texture.”
