Single vineyard wines, hand crafted in small batches and all bottles individually numbered. This is the 2021 vintage Malbec using fruit from their Gimblett Gravels vineyard.
This must be up there with the best examples of an NZ Malbec reckon. Full bodied and loaded to the gunnels with plush, rich, dark berry fruit flavours and spice.
Scoring a whopper 96/100 with Master of Wine Bob Campbell who said “Dense wine with a chewy texture and flavours that suggest red-fleshed plum, baked earth, spice/anise and vanilla. This is a seamless and appealing wine with a sweet and fruity core that perfectly balances a firm structure of ripe tannins.”
Good to go now but crafted with the long term in mind too – cellar up to 15 years from vintage.
