At over 125 years old Church Road are one of Aotearoa’s oldest wine producers with a glowing international rep. They’ve made a name for themselves as a world class producer especially in the Bordeaux red and Chardonnay styles.
We can honestly say we’ve never had a bad glass of wine with Church Road on the label. So when a bottle of their Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris slid across the desk, we knew what was going to be in the bottle was top notch.
A deliciously richly textured style Pinot Gris with pear, peach, honeysuckle with a touch of spice on the finish. It’s lip smackingly delish and an ideal white to pair with sweet and spicy Asian cuisine or rich, fatty white meats like pork belly.
