You might know Coopers Creek as the winery based out in Auckland’s western suburb of Kumeu. But they actually have vineyards dotted all around NZ and their "SV" (it stands for Select Vineyard) range showcases grape varieties from the parts of NZ they grow best.
Their SV "The Pointer" Pinot Gris comes from one of their vineyards nestled down in Marlborough. We’re not sure why it’s called "The Pointer" (maybe it’s because in true aromatic style the bottle is long and pointy?) but we do know if you prefer your Pinot Gris leaning towards a more full bodied, rich and slightly sweet style this is for you. If you like Main Divide’s Pinot Gris you’ll be all over this. Goes great with Asian cuisine too, like Thai or Indian.
Swing by the winery on a Sunday over summer and you’ll be treated to live jazz while you chill-ax over a glass or two. Bliss!
Damn, you're looking young for your age!
