We’ve hunted out another kick arse Spanish wine deal!
The Kingdom of Aragon ruled in the 14th and 15th centuries and if you were gonna slap a bottle of Garnacha (aka Grenache) on their dinner table and it had better be good – or off with your head!
Corona D’Aragon are a premium producer in the Cariñena (one of the oldest wine growing regions in Europe) and they make incredible Garnacha! Probably because its grown way up high in the Cariñena region, handpicked from vines that are more than 45 years old and aged in French oak. You’d expect to pay a whole lot more than our knockout price!
Robert Parker’s ‘The Wine Advocate’ gave this nicely aged 2009 wine an impressive 89/100 “concentrated wine that is a steal at the humble asking price” – and they’re referring to its normal retail price ($20), not the silly sub $15 price tag we’ve given it!
If you like mouth filling, super juicy, red fruit driven wine with succulent tannins and a touch of spice, bust out a juicy grilled steak or even a richly flavoured pizza.
Still hung up on NZ & Aussie reds? This is a great way to try what is fast becoming one of the most desirable styles of red out there. Like so many Spanish reds this totally over delivers on quality!
Damn, you're looking young for your age!
