A recent Trophy & Gold medal winner at the Hawke’s Bay Wine Awards 2014, as well as a Silver medal at the Aromatic International Wine Competition, the ultimate wine show for Gewurz, Pinot Gris, Riesling and all the other exciting spin offs of the aromatic white wine category.
Bursting with flavours typical of this style – we’re talking lychee, ginger, peach and spice to name a few. Winemaker Miles recommends it with chargrilled calamari with lemongrass and sweet chilli dressing, or baked snapper with ginger, kaffir lime leaves, spring onions and light soy. If that’s all sounded like a bit too much effort at the end of a hard week, simply whip a chilled bottle out of the fridge and head down to your local Thai or Indian BYO!
