Eradus Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc

This wine’s track record is stunning – in the past nine vintages they’ve claimed over 30 Gold medals or Five Star ratings and a Trophy! Blow me down!

As if that wasn’t flattering enough, US wine magazine ‘Wine Enthusiast’ labelled these guys as “one of New Zealand’s Best White wine Producers“.

Har and Sophie Eradus, and their two kids, were originally in the flower business in Holland but in 1982 they moved to NZ. After 20 years of dealing with bunches of flowers it was time to get their hands on bunches of another kind, grapes!

In 2004 Hanna and Michiel Eradus took over the reigns. When cleaning out an old shed at the winery one day they came across an old pot belly door with an embossed logo. Wiping it down, it revealed the letters “H, S and E” – Har and Sophie Eradus maybe? Spooky!

The Eradus crew describe their Eradus Sauvignon Blanc 2021 vintage as “In Essential Awatere fashion the finish is lively, crisp and lingering“.
