Now here’s a label that’s been flying high over the past couple of years. And not just ‘cos it’s named after the New Zealand falcon.
The Falconhead is the endangered NZ bird of prey, star of the $20 bill and occasional visitor to the vineyard! It’s produced by the crew that formerly owned Morton Estate. You might catch the odd one flying around their vineyards or stopping for a bite to eat at one of their vineyard feeding stations. After all, not only does the falcon look mighty impressive at up to 200 kilometres per hour, it also plays a key role in pest control for the vineyard!
“Gewurz” literally means “spice” in German, the perfect style white for spicy Asian cuisine! A medium bodied, rich and spicy style white from a producer that flies a little bit under the radar but bangs out some really good value wine.
Damn, you're looking young for your age!
