Gosset (pronounced go-say) have been making wine since the ’50s. The 1550’s that is! 1554 to be precise which makes them the oldest wine house in the Champagne region.

Originally producers of still wine that would sit at the table of the likes of the King of France in the 16th century, Gosset turned their hand to Champagne in the 18th century when global demand for Champagne started to take off.

From 300,000 bottles produced across all Champagne houses in 1800 to 20 million bottles in 1850. These days are 300 million bottles of the finest French fizz are guzzled globally, Gossett producing less than one percent of that.

The Gosset Champagne Grand Reserve Brut is the signature style of the house made up of 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier. The wine spends a minimum of 3 years in cellar before release which is way more than the legal Champagne requirement of 15 months.
