Ribbit Ribbit…hiccup. That’s the sound of the Southern Bell Frog that you might find in the wetland that neighbours the Grove Mill winery down there in Marlborough.
This is the latest 2024 release and winemaker Esmé is pretty happy with how it’s shaping up – “The palate is fresh and concentrated flavours of ripe pear with a citrus edge, drive this lively and energetic dry Pinot Gris.”
Grove Mill built the wetland back in the late 80s (before doing good stuff for the environment was “cool”) as part of their commitment to sustainable wine growing. They take sustainability seriously. From using lightweight recycled NZ glass bottles to labels produced from sugarcane (a highly renewable material that utilises an abundant by-product) to the winery being powered by over 300 solar panels.
Enjoy this awesome Marlborough Gris with white meats like chicken, fish and pork and especially spicy Asian cuisine.
