The
Lodge Hill
vineyard is one
of the highest in the
Clare Valley at 480m. If
you thought those heights are
dizzy check out this – Top Value Award
and a Top Rank Award at The Real Review!
Jim Barry purchased the 329 acre Lodge Hill vineyard back in 1977. He was convinced it would produce some of the best Riesling in the Clare Valley. A couple of years later he planted Shiraz at Lodge Hill and this has gone on to be a bit of a star performer for them!
This latest 2021 rerelease is yet again bang on the money – it is one seriously delicious glass of Clare Valley red with a 91/100 & Top Value Award by Master of Wine Bob Campbell for The Real Review.
Bob said “Dense, inky shiraz with chocolate/mocha, liquorice, Christmas cake, dark berry and subtle, spicy oak flavours. Big, almost syrupy red that is surprisingly drinkable now, but no rush.”
Drink now to 2029.
