One of the best producers of Gewurztraminer in New Zealand – if not the best! Johanneshof Gewurztraminer is a consistent winner of Trophies and Gold medals, listed as a “Super Classic” by Michael Cooper. Seriously the trophy cabinet must be bulging by now after years of cleaning up at wine shows!

Made by winemakers trained in the world famous wine area of Rheingau in Germany. Made in that luscious medium style typical of the region.

This latest 2024 vintage scored 94/100 with Master of Wine Stephen Wong for The Real Review, Stephen said “Tucked into a steep hillside on the road towards Picton harbour, Johanneshof Cellars stands apart from the rest of Marlborough. Being a small, artisan, boutique winery only producing wines from hand harvested grapes, volumes are not huge. An absolute must try if you’re into this style of wine. Or simply want the perfect wine to match with spicy Asian cuisine.
