This insanely cool six litre sized bottle, called a Methuselah (ma-thu-za-la), is the equivalent of eight standard sized bottles of Laurent Perrier Champagne (or 64 flutes for you and your party goers) and to be honest we couldn’t think of a cooler way to celebrate than to roll one of these monsters out of its wooden crate to kick start the party! Or, if you’re loaded, smash it on the side of your new super yacht! Hurrah! This bottle comes presented in a LP branded wooden crate too.

La Cuvee might sound like a swanky new marketing term of Laurent Perrier’s signature Champers – but it’s been 15 years of hard work in the making! With more Chardonnay in this blend is took them over a decade to acquire the Chardonnay vineyards they needed and finally master the blend.

If you think these swanky French Champagne houses have had it easy, think again. Laurent Perrier (or “LP” if you want to sound in the know) have had a turbulent ride since they started in 1812.

Battling (literally) through Two World Wars and almost going broke because of it, while one of the owner’s sons, Bernard de Nonancourt, was part of the armored division that stormed Hitler’s wine cave and discovered a half a million bottles of hidden wine!
