What a cracker! A nut cracker actually. Just like the humble French nut cracker (“Le Casse Noix“) that takes an “iron fist in a silk glove” approach to cracking his (or her) nuts, these guys treat each grape with just the right amount of pressure to yield the best quality juice.
From the Languedoc region of southern France this is a gently oaked Chardonnay (just four months in oak) that’s all about ripe citrus fruit flavours with a light creaminess to it.
A great starting point if you’re new to the modern style French Chardonnay before. Serve lightly chilled with fresh fish in a light creamy sauce or roasted chucks.
