Produced by the Te Awa crew (and part of the Villa Maria wine group) and while it’s obvious they’re making bloody good value wine we did wonder on earth they’re smoking down there when they came up with the label.

Featuring a “Squidcrab” which apparently “The racy little Squidcrab cries at the drop of a hat. Her sweet and gentle side combined with warm comforting spice draws you in and before you know it, you’re ‘fessing up to all your sins.” Riiiight.

Probably one of the BEST value for money Pinot Gris from the 2024 vintage taking out the Trophy for Champion Pinot Gris at the 2024 NZ International Wine Show, TWO major Gold medals and 5 Stars from Sam Kim!

The judges at the NZIWS said “Beautifully composed and expressed, showing poached pear, rockmelon, fig, and subtle spice aromas on the nose, followed by a elegant palate offering excellent weight and fine flow. Splendidly textured rounded with a lingering supple finish.”

A classic Marlborough Pinot Gris with lush pear, apple and citrus fruit flavours with a touch of spice. Devour with pork or spicy grilled chicken.
