If you’re familiar with the Linke Shiraz we’ve been pumping for the last wee while you’ll know what the Linke style is all about – big, full on, in-yer-face Barossa style red!
Their Shiraz has taken off and now their Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon is here. It’s big, rich, full bodied and loaded to the gunnels with rich, dark spicy fruits and packing a punch at 14.8%!
So who are they? Linke are a 5th generation German farming family who settled in the Barossa Valley. They’re 3rd generation grape growers and since 2002 have been produced their own label, Linke.
For 30 years they’ve been providing their fruit to the famous St Hallett’s winery and also to Langmeil since they started in the mid 90s. So there’s some quality fruit on show that’s for sure. This label is produced from their Stonewall Block, from vines that are 21 years old, then aged 18 months in oak.
