The Perdriers are a French winemaking family that have been banging out sparkling wine in France since 1878. They even have their own coat of arms right there on the label, guarded by two lions.
They modestly called this one “Louis Perdrier Brut Rose Excellence” and we have to agree that, for the money, this is a smart little, cheap and cheerful imported French bubbly. There ain’t nothing too serious going on in the flute here – a lovely light, refreshing, fruity style fizz packaged in a smart looking label that would probably fool the snobbiest of drinkers!
Perfect for those functions or soirées where you’re filling flutes on a tight budget.
Awarded 4 out of 5 Stars by local critic Sam Kim, who called it “A charming sparkling rosé…a mouth-watering palate that is filled with tasty fruit flavours. The wine is immediate and friendly, offering lovely drinking”
