Misty Cove owner Andrew (aka Mister Misty Cove) only releases his “Signature” range when the vintage has been good enough and he feels the wine offers that little bit extra from the norm.
Andrew and his crew recently started releasing their full Signature range into Aotearoa, including their 2016 Chardy from their Wairau vineyard in Marlborough. This range has previously been exclusively for the very flashest Michelin Star and Gault Milau restaurants and hotels dotted around Europe, including places like Noma in Denmark, recently voted #2 restaurant in the world!
This single vineyard, reserve label Chardonnay is more quality than quantity with the bells and whistles treatment – 9 months French oak ageing, lees stirring and partial malolactic fermentation. A great food wine that’ll pair well with lobster, salmon, chicken, pork, grilled veal or mild curries.
