The first thing you do when you start your own winery is take a good look around for something to name it after, usually a hill, a mountain, a road, or if you’re especially lucky a bay. These guys obviously had nothing but mud, so they built a house out of it and named it Mud House. Brilliant.
They’ve built little Mud Houses in three key wine growing regions – Central Otago, Waipara Valley and Marlborough. They’ve sourced fruit from two of those key South Island regions (Marlborough and Waipara) to produce this delicious little Pinot Gris.
A rich, spicy Gris with a touch of sweetness – good to go with spicy Asian cuisine like Thai or Indian but we’ve been known to wolf down a few home made pulled pork sliders with apple sauce and coleslaw with a glass of this Pinot Gris.
Damn, you're looking young for your age!
