From a premium producer in South Australia’s Barossa Valley, this is a winery that’s received top marks (5 Stars) from Australia’s top wine scribbler (James Halliday). He scored this 2012 vintage of…ahem, Mystery Shiraz, a whopping 95 Points (out of 100).
The wine’s well worth it’s $30 plus retail price tag that’s for sure – from a single vineyard estate, hand picked fruit from 88 year old vines, basked pressed and aged for 18 months in French hogsheads. This is some seriously classy fruit that’s gone into this bottle – which is why this vineyard site used to supply fruit to one of the Barossa’s most iconic labels that sells for $100+ in the NZ market! (we’re not allowed to mention their name either!)
Full bodied, lucious red loaded with dark fruit and berry flavours. With massive cellaring potential of 20 plus years this is an absolute treat for a snip under twenty bucks! Limited stocks, don’t muck about.
