Rabbit Ranch Pinot Gris is the white sibling of the hugely popular Rabbit Ranch Pinot Noir. Named Rabbit Ranch after the high country sheep station, owned by Mr McGregor, which became overun with pesky rabbits. After various methods of trying to rid the land of rabbits he decided to plant some vines. Rabbits still run freely on the land today.
Initially when Mr McGregor knocked on our door peddling his Pinot Gris we all thought he should stick to what he knows best. We even laughed when he tried to tell us it’s “a soft, cuddly Gris with peachy flavours and a furry tail“.
Light, refreshing Central Otago Gris in an off-dry style (meaning it’s got just a touch of sweetness) this bushy tailed guy will pair up nicely with seafood and light white meat dishes.
