Seppelt’s are one of Aussie’s iconic winemaking producers, pioneers in making the first sparkling wine across the ditch, the first sparkling Shiraz across the ditch and have won the biggest award there is to win on the Aussie wine scene (the Jimmy Watson Trophy) a record three times.
Their Chalambar Shiraz, named after the nearby Mount Chalambar, is an iconic premium cool climate Shiraz in the Victoria region and their 2015 release is a blend of spicy, floral fruit from the Grampains sub-region (2015 vintage rated 9/10 by James Halliday) with the more juicy Shiraz from the Heathcote sub-region (vintage rated 8/10 by Halliday).
This has massive cellaring potential of some 20 years – how on earth you could resist leaving it in the cellar that long is beyond us!
