She’s a saucy little Priestess and sure to make you smile if Pinot Gris with richness, a touch of spice and a dry finish spins your wheels.
From the famous Bridge Pa Triangle in Hawkes Bay, facing the Ruahine Ranges (Ruahine means Priestess in Maori). Made by Sileni in Hawke’s Bay, they aged a portion of the wine in old oak barrels to add complexity and flavour, all delivered with a lovely dry finish.
Scoring 91/100 and a Top Value Award with Master of Wine Bob Campbell, who said “Dry, flavoursome pinot gris with tree fruit, quince, Nashi pear and apple flavours, plus a suggestion of nutty yeast lees characters. Quite a bold, gutsy wine.”
Pair the Priestess with grilled chicken, pork, duck or spicy Asian cuisine.
