If there’s one thing we love to do when we go to the snow it’s checking out the birds. And, of course, sipping back a good glass of Pinot by the fire while talking about the sick moves we pulled off on the slopes. So when we heard about a new label called Snow Bird Pinot Noir we were keen as.

Turns out it’s all about birds of another kind! Like the famous Kea, the world’s only alpine parrot. Kea are known for their intelligence and curiosity and, like the bird, you’ve got to be curious when a quality sub-$15 Pinot flies on to the radar.

Using a blend of fruit from Waipara in North Canterbury (55%) and Waitaki in North Otago (45%) the Snow Bird crew have crafted this very drinkable, crowd pleasing Pinot. A soft, juicy style with sweet berry fruit flavours. Rain, hail, shine or snow – this is an ideal Pinot for any day of the week and a great option for a function Pinot on a budget.
