“Malbec will make it big. This French varietal has reached startling heights of quality in Argentina”. Robert Parker.
You can trace Malbec’s rise in Argentina back to an Italian migrant in the late 1800’s by the name of Don Fioravante Sottano. He saw the massive potential for making awesome wine in Mendoza and set about planting vineyards and making his own wine.
These days it’s Sottano brothers Diego, Pablo and Mauricio who run the family wine gig – and they’re doing a damn fine job!
This is a lip smackingly delicious red full of dark, spicy berry fruit flavours and a silky texture.
Meat and Malbec is what they’re nuts about in this part of the world so it’s little surprise to see the Sottano brothers recommend busting out a bottle of their prized Reserva Malbec with a big slab of steak! Drink now or cellar for up to eight years.
Damn, you're looking young for your age!
