Yep, that’s right. Sunstones that used to form the river bed of an ancient river in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley are now used by the crew at Stoneleigh to radiate the daytime heat directly onto the vines, making them work hard to produce grapes full of crisp, vibrant flavour.
Stoneleigh have added a new ‘Lighter’ range to their line-up for those looking for a slightly lower alcohol options at just 9%. The Stoneleigh crew pick the grapes early to deliver a wine that’s 25% lower in alcohol than standard wine but still delivers that full flavoured, zingy, tropical Marlborough SauvyB goodness.
