Two Rivers Isle of Beauty Rose. You little beauty! Or should we say L’Île de Beauté. That’s what winemaker and owner Dave Clouston used to call this Rosé, which has been Cuisine magazine’s No.1 Rosé three times in the last five years. Top effort!
Dave’s dropped the fancy French lingo but kept the fancy French style. Two Rivers is typically of that style – pale salmon in colour and dry, crisp to taste. All made from good old Marlborough Pinot Noir grapes. It’s all packaged in a sexy as hell bottle too with the base shaped like a strawberry. It’s an out and out winner every year. And all for a snip under twenty bucks? It’s a bargain buy, no doubt.
L’Île de Beauté (Island of Beauty) is the nickname for Corsica, the island off the south-east coast of mainland France. Dave spent a bit of time over that way and picked up a few handy tricks on how to make Rosé the French way. It’s Pinot Rosé made by a Marlborough man through and through, all with a twist of French chic!
Two Rivers Isle of Beauty Rose has got antipasto and summer lunches written all over it. Yet again this is bound to be an absolutely massive hit for summer and beyond, a class act for the money.
