An absolutely cracking winery clearance deal from Vidal Estate in Hawke’s Bay! This is their RESERVE label from a stunning 2020 Hawke’s Bay vintage. With a new label (and barcode) now in market they needed to clear the last stocks under the previous label. This is a one-off clearance and we’ve snagged every last box of this quality Pinot Gris at a crash hot price of $13.99.
What was a $20 wine is now up for grabs at this silly low price until it’s all gone – which won’t take long! This is a quality Gris for the money. Off-dry in style with lush stone fruit flavours like peach and nectarine, pear and green apple with weight and texture and a lick of spice. It’s obvious at first sip this is a wine worth a lot more. It’s seriously delicious so grab yourself a case or three while you can. You will not be disappointed one bit!
The Vidal Reserve range has been a regular in the fridges of airport lounges around the country for many years and it’s not hard to see why.
Anthony Joseph Vidal was just 22 years young when he jumped off the ship from Spain way back in 1888. After purchasing a small section in Hawke’s Bay in 1905 he converted the stables that occupied the land into a wine cellar and hey presto – Vidal Estate was born!
From a winery with a long history of food and wine (they opened NZ’s first winery restaurant back in 1979) we recommend pairing this one with with white meats like chicken, fish and pork. It’ll also go great with your next spicy Indian or Asian takeaway!
Damn, you're looking young for your age!
