“A great tropical punch to the nose” – ouch! A typically crisp, fresh and vibrant Marlborough Sauvy from a reliable label known for delivering good bang for buck.
The latest ’22 release is yet another great buy the money. Although based in the Waipara north of Canterbury (the Waipara Hills if you couldn’t guess) they source their Sauvy grapes from Marlborough’s Awatere and Wairau Valleys. This is just the wine to pair with fresh fish and seafood dishes but if you’re feeling a Masterchef moment coming along try pairing it with Vietnamese spring rolls with fresh mint and lime.
Although just quietly if that’s all sounding a bit much – grab a cold bottle from the fridge and head down to the beach with your fush ‘n’ chups!
