Wolf Blass is Wolfgang Franz Otto Blass – a German born boy who ran away from school at the age of 15. He was told he had two choices, either go back to school or start a 3 year apprentice with a wine business. No regrets eh Wolfie!

Black Label is Wolf’s flagship label so nothing less than the absolute best is good enough for this wine. That’s why this label has won the Jimmy Watson Trophy (Australia’s most sought after wine award) a record four times. It’s why in 2013 thirty of the world’s leading critics got together to classify the world’s best 30 Cabernet Sauvignon blends. Black Label didn’t just make the cut, it was ranked as one of the highest wines in that list!

A blend of Cabernet (54%), Shiraz (41%) and Malbec (5%) from over 100 parcels of fruit from the Langhorne Creek, Barossa and McLaren Vale have gone into this making this wine, aged for 20 months in oak and then given a few years in bottle before release. Wolf has always wants his Black Label released when it’s ready to drink – but you can comfortably cellar this one for up to 30 years from vintage date!

A powerful, dark and deeply coloured red. This is the 40th release of this world famous wine and in that time it boasts winning 64 Trophies and over 300 Gold medals! A bucket list red for all serious red wine drinkers with expensive taste. World class from start to finish.

Note: This bottle has been carefully stored in our temperature controlled wine cellar.
