They go a bit potty across the ditch every year when Wynns Coonawarra Estate launch their annual release of wines – they even called it ‘Wynnsday’, cheesy or what! The Coonawarra (Aboriginal for ‘honeysuckle’) is a region from South Australia famous for its world class Cabernet, but Shiraz was the first grape to grow here and Wynns were one of the first to do it.
In the line-up is their iconic ‘White label’ (it’s more light grey in our opinion, but hey let’s not be fussy) Estate Shiraz. Regarded as one of the most trusted value for money Aussie Shiraz labels year in, year out.
A great example of cool climate Aussie Shiraz. And as they put it – “A medium bodied wine with a lingering finish that will age gracefully in the tradition of the original Wynns Hermitage wine.” How long you ask? We reckon you could keep a few bottles of this tucked away until around 2026.
Damn, you're looking young for your age!
