Johann Gramp was a pioneer of the Aussie winemaking scene, planting the first vines in 1847 alongside the banks of Jacob’s Creek. He ran the family wine ‘biz with his son Gustav (known as “Gramp & Sons”), until grandson Hugo Gramp (aka St Hugo) took over the reigns at age 25.
These days producing over 7 million cases of wine a year and a regular in the World’s Most Admired Wine Brands list, Jacob’s Creek has become one of the most iconic names on the Aussie wine scene.
This is their Reserve label fizz, it’s 100% bottle fermented (aka Methode Traditionelle) and made using traditional grape varieties of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
