Strange Nature Gin

It’s strange that sometimes in searching for one thing you find something entirely different in the end. Strange Nature Gin is a world first grape based gin made right here in New Zealand using the spirit of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc!

Giesen have been making wine in Marlborough for over 40 years and recently invested millions of dollars in fancy whizz-bang spinning cone technology to create an amazing 0% alcohol range of Marlborough wines. When the alcohol was gently removed from their Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc they realised this base spirit was far too good to throw away – a white spirit full of vibrant, fresh aromas grown from grapes!

And so the story of Strange Nature began. After 18 months of trialing and tinkering (and frequent gin testing sessions no doubt!) they settled on a double distillation with just one botanical – the juniper.

Aromatic, fruity, zesty, tropical and herbaceous. Strange Nature is deliciously different.
