From a boutique, family owned winery in Martinborough called Te Hera Estate. They named this Pinot after an old family sailing boat called Kiritea, which means “fair weather” in Maori. For, ahem, legal reasons the winery has had to remove ‘Kiritea’ from the label, which is why it’s now called simply Te Hera Estate.
Now we’re no fair weather supporter of this label, we’re not just singing when it’s winning, we’ve been backing it year after year. As the NZ Herald called this label, “a consistently cracking value Pinot.”.
Entirely hand crafted, totally organic, it’s a lovely soft, savoury, fruit driven, medium bodied style. Enjoy this one over the next 5-7 years and pair with duck for the an absolutely primo food match!
